Arrival
Day one
Boating along the Seine and climbing of the Eiffel Tower on foot (701 steps up, 701 steps down)!
Day two
Versailles, of which we visited the king's rooms and Marie-Antoinette 's quarters
Day three
Le Louvre, so naturally I went to see the Mona Lisa. Absolutely no satisfactory pictures of that, due to the seemingly permanent crowd all around, but a picture of Clara and me in front of the Vénus de Milo.
Day four
Sacré-Coeur cathedral and the village of Montmartre
Day five
The Catacombes, in wich Lafontaine's remains lie (strange thought, that, but a strange place, too)
Departure
Even without the fact that this was a week off from school, it was an amazing trip and I can't wait to go back with the rest of my family!

You went to Paris? On your own??? Really?
But who is that girl beside Clara, the tall, long legged one who has quite long dark blonde hair?
Are you going to keep growing like this? Or can we freeze you in time for just a bit longer? I remember when I could blow your feathers on the top of your head and they would stand right up. I do not think I could reach the top of that head right now.
Paris looks amazing, clear weather, great sights and good company. I am delighted that you had such a wonderful visit with Clara.
XO
Oh That looked so fun !!! I really want to go to Paris someday. It seems really cool and I would very much like to eat in a parisienne restaurent.... KNIT OR DIE !!
Ahhh Paris…
Joli petite ville. Des très bon croissant la aussi. Il faut dire que je suis d’accord avec “Red” ce n’est pas la hauteur de la tour Eiffel qui m’a surpris… c’est la grandeur de l’auteur de ce blog. Remarquable.
