Last weekend, Sauvanne, Arianne, Renée and I organized a yard sale of most of our old toys and things. All the profits went to the Canadian Sea turtle network to help protect the Leatherback sea turtles. After sitting outside for five and a half hours, we managed to raise around 230$ for our cause. We are getting together this week to write to the organisation and send them the cheque!
This picture is a detail from our poster.

That's wonderful! What a great idea. Congratulations.
That is amazing - $230 is a grand amount of money for the turtles.
I LOVE the remora on the larger turtle. The island that I told you about this summer, Lamma Island is a protected breeding site for the Green Turtle. I am hoping to be able to witness a hatching, which has been a dream of mine for a very long time. It is the only protected area for the turtles in Hong Kong and right now, the Sham Wan beach is off limits, until the end of October, to give the mommas the peace that they need to nest.
XO
A dream, along with having a moose nibble your ear?
I have leaned a very good song about Lamas, by someone called Albino Black Sheep
Having a moose nibble my ear is still the number one dream of all time! A soft grab at the lobe and then some snuffling as s/he wiggles my ear around. I might see turtles hatch first, what do you think?
I am going to look up your song and see if I can get a copy.
